When can I expect my order?
Please refer to our Delivery page for detailed information on our ordering schedule. We currently have two dispatch days a week Monday and Thursday.
Are your meals suitable for Gluten-free and Lactose-free diets?
Yes, some of our meals have been customised to remove gluten and/or lactose. If you have a life threatening allergy of any kind, please do not consume our meals.
Do your meals contain any preservatives?
We do not add any preservatives to our meals. All our food is sourced from natural, wholefood preservative-free product. Our food products have a longer “shelf life” due to being individually vacuum packaged. Our sauces are also preservative free.
What is the best way to heat my meals?
Our meals are designed to be heated in the microwave since they already arrive fully cooked. You will notice heating instructions on our meal container regarding how long to heat the food. Remove food form bags on to a suitable plate or slit the plastic bags on the top to release steam during the microwaving process and microwave for about 2 minutes. Keep in mind that some microwaves may require shorter or longer heating time than others. You know your microwave best, so you may want to try out your first meal assuming an average cooking time (a little under 2 minutes) and then adding to that time as you see fit.
What should I do if my discount or promotion code is not working?
If you have a discount or promotion code, please make sure you follow these steps to make it work:

1. Sign-up for a FitFood Account.

2. Sign-in to your Account before placing your order.

3. Select your desired meals or supplements from our menus and proceed to checkout.

4. Enter your code on the Shopping Cart Checkout page. You must be logged into your account for the code to work.

5. You will see your discount applied to your order. Please keep in mind that discount and promotion codes are for one-time use only and are issued with an expiry date. If you are still having trouble using your code, please contact us at info@fitfood.nz
Where are the Home Delivery zones?
We currently offer home and business address delivery throughout New Zealand. Local Canterbury home and business deliveries are made on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00am to 5:00pm, North Island and Greater South Island orders that are processed on either Monday or Wednesday are then shipped with an overnight courier and can then be expected on a Tuesday or Thursday respectively.
Are my meals safe to be transported?
All our packaging is freezer and refrigerator grade cardboard designed to keep your food cool and safe for transport. Deliveries by Fitfood are made using fully refrigerated vehicles, unless sent via courier in which case we use special non toxic ice packs for ALL courier orders to ensure your meals stay cool to meet the highest food safety and quality standards.
Will I lose weight or put on weight with these meals?
As with every healthy eating plan, our meals can be tailored by a professional to help achieve your personal health, fitness and lifestyle goals. Our meals can be used for body specific goals of weight loss and to build lean muscle or just to maintain a current body composition. The most important things to understand for your intended body goals are Calories consumed and Calories expended according to your current body weight / composition status relative to your activity level. If you know your macro nutrient requirements, please review our Nutrition page so you can order meals according to your dietary requirements or goals. If you would like to start using our meals as part of calorie or macro nutrient controlled diet we recommend using a dietician, fitness professional or body coach to get you started.
What if no one is home when the courier arrives?
Fitfood instructs our drivers and couriers to leave orders at the address whether someone is home to receive it or not. When we send the order we will automatically send an email to let you know your order has been shipped and is on its way, please ensure someone can be home to receive your order or leave instructions for our drivers or courier to leave it somewhere safe. Our packaging and ice packs will keep your food cold and safe until it can be refrigerated.
Can I pick up the meals?
Yes, you can pick up your meals from Unit 4, 1004 Ferry Road, Ferrymead, Christchurch 8023 anytime between 1:00pm and 6:00pm provided we have sent you a confirmation email to confirm they are ready. Any times outside this please contact us with your order number at info@fitfood.nz
Can you get meals to me on a certain day?
We currently have two dispatch days each week Monday and Thursday. Local orders made online Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be ready for collection or dispatch the following Monday. Local orders made online Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be ready for collection or dispatch the following Thursday. North Island and Greater South Island orders made online Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday are processed and dispatched the following Monday, shipped overnight for delivery Tuesday. North Island and Greater South Island orders made online Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are processed and dispatched the following Thursday, shipped overnight for delivery Friday. If you require an order outside these times and on a special day, please contact us at info@fitfood.nz before ordering and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

How do I store my meals?
Once you have received your Fitfood order, your meals should be stored in a fridge. If you would like to extend the meals life for longer, store them in the Freezer between -14°C to -18°C. This extends the life of your meals by another 3-6 months.
How long do your meals last?
Our meals are individually vacuum packed and sealed to preserve freshness and flavor. The meals will last up to 4 days in the fridge, providing due care is taken by the customer to receive and immediately refrigerate them. They can be frozen to extend their shelf life.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source all of the ingredients for our meals from New Zealand suppliers, we use Free Range meats and whenever possible organic produce. These food sources are delivered to us fresh on a daily basis so we can ensure your meals are of the highest quality. We will endeavor to continually improve our ingredients so our customers will always have the best experience and enjoy Fitfood.
